Hi, I’m Jim Merante, your local Franchise owner.

I discovered early on in my career that I had a gift for quantifying the unruly nature of business. I have built departments and processes that can take the messy reality of small business and present financial documents that accurately portray that reality.

I find everything interesting (which is both a blessing and a curse) and therefore I have been involved in many different hobbies. I currently enjoy woodworking, coaching my children’s various sports teams, computer tech, and, of course, the Tax Code. In the past I have been passionate about learning Karate, podcasting, photography, and investing.

I am a Business Networking International member, a member of the Norwin Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the North Allegheny Chamber of Commerce. In addition, I belong to many Tax and Accounting groups including the IRS Small Business Forum and the National Association of Tax Professionals. Lastly, there is the network of Padgett Clients — the Small Business Owners whom I serve.

I excel at administrative problem solving. The bigger the issue, the happier I am. I am a dynamic public speaker partly because I can articulate complex concepts in a way that helps business owners understand how it affects them. I am very effective in Team Building and therefore our business does not depend on any single person to be successful.
